• The Tender Terrace

Just as a tender car serves a locomotive, this fourth-floor terrace serves as an adjunct to the Super Chief Terrace directly above. It’s a relaxing lounge spot for outdoor cocktails, with comfortable sofas and a green roof.

  • The Great Northern Terrace

Named for the only privately funded transcontinental railroad in U.S. history, this sixth-floor terrace on the northeast corner of the Modern Classic building provides views of the monumental heart of Washington, DC. An outdoor extension of the Sidetrack party room, it features a grill, a fire pit, designer lighting, comfortable seating, and native-plant landscaping.

  • The Flat Yard

Like a railroad yard where various cars are assembled into trains, this plaza/courtyard is a natural gathering place for residents, with outdoor seating, native-plant landscaping, and a monumental fountain.

  • The Super Chief Terrace

Located on the fifth floor of the Modern Classic building, this terrace takes its name from the legendary “Train of the Stars” that brought transcontinental travel to a new height of luxury. A fantastic party space, it includes a long communal dining table, a grill, a wooden deck, designer lighting, and a green roof.

At The Asher, green living includes the blue sky and golden sunshine of great outdoor spaces. Names of these spaces are inspired by the railroad ties and other railway artifacts unearthed during construction and recycled to become an authentic part of the building’s striking décor.
